Evelyn Coleman

Evelyn G. Hill Coleman, age 86, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 at her home.  Evelyn was born on August 5, 1931 to her parents the late Barney Hill and Dessie Hill.  She was the wife of the late Kermit Coleman, a homemaker, and a member of the Rockhouse Old Regular Baptist Church.   Along with her husband and parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by two brothers, Ervin and Barney Hill, and two sisters, Fannie Mae Swiney and Dollie Hill.    Evelyn is survived by three daughters, Delene (Sammy) Wells, Karen (Donnie) Ramey, Evelyn Jean (Steve) Kirkland, one sister, Shelby Swiney, three brothers, Doug Hill, Burnis Hill, and Johnny Hill, four grandchildren, Don Richard (Myrika) Ramey, Danny (Kim) Kirkland, Ryan (Taffy) Wells, Anthony (Miranda) Ramey, eight great grandchildren, Ryan Kirland, Rebekah Kirkland, Christopher Ramey and Holly Ramey and their mother, Misty Asbury, Maddie Wells, Lexie Wells, Whitney Ramey and Hunter Ramey and their mother Latasha Ramey, one great great grandchild, Hayden Collins and a host of loving family and friends.    Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Church services will be Wednesday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Teddy Honaker and others officiating.  Burial will follow in the Coleman Family Cemetery at Rockhouse.
