Florence Bartley

Florence Bartley, age 92 of Bowling Fork, Elkhorn City, Ky, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019, at the Pikeville Medical Center. Florence was born in Pike County, Ky on July 31, 1926 to her parents the late Boone Bowling and Annie Bowling. Florence was a homemaker and a member of the Bowling Fork Freewill Baptist Church. Florence was the widow of the late Burel Bartley.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one daughter, Elsie Bartley, one son,  Danny Bartley. Florence was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard Bowling, Joe Jack Bowling, Dale Bowling, five sisters, Mae Grizzle, Venita Coleman, Louise Kilgore, Barb Marstellar, Kelsie.  Florence is survived by six sons, Roger (Felicia) Bartley, Gilbert (Tommie Jo) Bartley, Billy Conn (Rita) Bartley, Glen (Brenda) Bartley, Larry Bartley, Donald (Pam) Bartley, one daughter, Gwendolyn (Tim) Johnson.  She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday and Tuesday, January 21, 2019, January 22,2019, 6:00 PM at the Bowling Fork Freewill Baptist Church with church services each night at 7:00 PM.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at 1:00 PM at the Bowling Fork Freewill Baptist Church with Richard Gibson, Estill Mullins and Jimmy Kerr officiating. Burial will follow at the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
