Foster Slone

     Foster B. Slone, age 72, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Foster was born on March 19, 1946 to his parents the late Harve Slone and Della Johnson Slone.  He was the husband of Violet Damron Slone, a coal miner, and a member of the United Christian Church At HiHat, Ky.        Along with his parents, Foster was preceded in death by two brothers, Chester Slone, Gardner Slone, and one sister, Lucy Branham.      Along with his wife, Foster is survived by one son, Daniel (Misty) Slone, one daughter, Rachel (Eric) Tackett, three brothers, Ernie Slone, Bill Slone, Landis Slone, three sisters, Tina Roarke, Rose Mitchell, Nellie Akers, two grandchildren, Madisyn Slone, Chanston Slone, and a host of loving family and friends.      Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Church services will be Thursday and Friday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Bill Slone, Richard Holmes, and others officiating.  Burial will follow in the Ben Johnson Cemetery at Virgie, Ky.
