Fred Meade

Fred Meade, age 74, of Pikeville, Ky, passed away on March 15, 2019. Fred was born in Pike County, Ky. on September 12, 1944, to his parents the late Willis Meade and Ada Meade.  Fred was retired from the Pike County Detention Center, in Pikeville, Ky., he was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. Fred was the husband of Patricia Meade. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Mary Walker.  Fred is survived by his wife, four sons, and two daughters,  Randy (Denise) Meade, Sherry (Randy) Hall, Kevin (Tiffany) Meade, Danny Cure, Carrie (Brian) Mullins, Jamie (Connie) Cure.  He is survived by one brother, Harold Gene (Karen) Meade, one sister, Dortha Meade.  He is survived by eighteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, March 17, 2019, 6:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with services at 7:00 PM.   Monday, March 18, 2019, Mr. Meade will be at Lucas and Son Funeral Home till 3:00 PM then moved to the church -Island Creek Old Regular Baptist Church-Left Fork of Island Creek. Visitation will start at the church after 3:00 PM and will remain there till funeral on Tuesday with service Monday night at 7:00 PM.  Funeral will be Tuesday, March 19, 2019, 12:00 Noon at the Island Creek Old Regular Baptist church. Burial will follow in the Hall Cemetery on Left Fork of Island Creek.
