Freddie Lee Cantrell, age 70, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Freddie was born on Sept. 20, 1950 to his parents the late Caleb Cantrell and Elba Harmon Cantrell. He was the husband of Anita Bartley Cantrell, a retired food service employee for the Pike County Board of Education, and a member of the Wolfpit Community Baptist Church. He also served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was a member of the Thomas C. Cecil Pikeville Masonic Lodge #375 F & A.M. Along with his parents, Freddie was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Ray Cantrell, and one sister, Judy Cantrell Coleman. Along with his wife, Freddie is survived by one daughter, Kayla Batcher and her husband, Houston, four sisters, Aster Davis, Jackie Evans, Susie (Prentis) Childers, Joann (Dennis) Adkins, two brothers, James (Patricia) Cantrell, Billy Don (Jean) Cantrell, and a host of loving family and friends. There will be a private family funeral with Joey Sussan officiating and burial to follow at Annie E. Young Cemetery
