Freddie Slone

    Freddie Slone, age 63, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at his home. Freddie was born on Feb. 7, 1956 to his parents the late Leonard Slone and Martha Thacker Slone.   He was the long time companion of Nora Bartley, a former coal miner and the owner of Slone's Bait Shop at Fishtrap.      Along with his parents, Freddie was preceded in death by two brothers and seven sisters.     Along with his companion, Freddie is survived by one brother, Charles "Curt" Slone, two special nieces, Sonja Crider, Amanda Ward, two special nephews, Leonard Slone, Jody Slone, and a host of loving nieces and nephews.     Visitation will be Friday, July 19, 2019 from 1p.m. to 9p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.
