Gene Coleman, age 76, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at his home in Dandridge, Tennessee. Gene was born on Sept. 17, 1943 to his parents the late Thurman Coleman and Sue Dillion Coleman. He was the husband of the late Glendora Maynard Coleman, a believer of the baptist faith, and a retired mechanic, carpenter, and heavy equipment operator. He also served his country honorably in the United States Army. Along with his wife and parents, Gene was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Garrett Coleman. Gene is survived by two daughters, Gina (LeeRoy) Wilson, Kimberly Coleman Jones, step daughter, Melanie Lowe, his companion, Alana Layne, one brother, Joe (Edna) Coleman, one sister, Mary Lou (Ronnie) Justice, four grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with church services at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, August 9, 2020 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Randy Woods and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman Cemetery at Broad Bottom.
