Gloria Thacker

Gloria Jean Adkins Thacker, age 77, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022 at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville, Tn. Gloria was born on August 3, 1945 to her parents the late Grover Adkins and Hazel Ratliff Adkins. She was the wife of Terry V. Thacker, retired from G.M. Manufacturing in Spring Hill, Tn., and a member of the Calvary Primitive Baptist Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Adkins. Along with her husband, Gloria is survived by two sons, Robert V. Thacker, Barry M. (Denise) Thacker, one daughter, Rebecca J. (Rusty) Stewart, four brothers, Arnold (Lynda) Adkins, William "Tack" Adkins, Steve (Linda) Adkins and Kermit (Sandy) Adkins, by three sisters, Sharon Syck, Laverne (Steve) Dye and Eileen (Dennis) Searcy, by four grandchildren, Bianca (Kobee) Lovelace, Paige Stewart, Brooke Thacker and Justin Stewart, by a great-grandchild, Athena Lovelace and by a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends that will miss her and loved her dearly. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2022, after 6 PM at Calvary Primitive Baptist Church at Kimper. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 AM at the Calvary Primitive Baptist Church with Primitive Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Warren G. Adkins Cemetery at Fords Branch. Special services will be held on Sunday night at 7 PM.
