Goldie Marie Edwards

Goldie Marie Edwards, age 86, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022 at her home. Goldie was born on Dec. 6, 1936 to her parents the late Charlie Bostic and Virdie Varney Bostic. She was the wife of the late Eldon Edwards, a retired caretaker, and a believer of the Old Regular Baptist Faith. Along with her husband and parents, Goldie was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy Bostic and Ronald Bostic, one sister, Barbara Adkins, and one brother, Bob Bostic. Goldie is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Edwards, three brothers, Chester Bostic, Kenneth Bostic, Bruce Bostic, six sisters, Sylvia Mae Potete, Beulah Adkins, Betty Stevens, Charlene Adkins, Linda Adkins, Emogene Chapman, six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Owsley Church of God on Hurricane Creek. Church services will be Saturday and Sunday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Monday, Nov. 21, 2022 at 1p.m. at the Owsley Church of God with Robert Justice and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Bostic Cemetery on Hurricane Creek.
