Gypsy Ann Parker Coleman, age 88, passed away Monday, August 25, 2019 at the Pikeville Nursing and Rehab Center. Gypsy was born on June 12, 1931 to her parents the late Berry Parker and Polly Ann Slone Parker. She was the wife of the late Branson Coleman, a homemaker, and a member of the Wolfpit Community Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Gypsy was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby Carl Coleman and Rodney Lee Coleman, seven brothers, Casey, Frank, Lee, Teddy, Walter, Bruce, and Tom Parker, and six sisters, Ethel DiPatri, Margie Tackett, Rose Justice, Dixie Lee Hess, Ocie Smith, and Hattie Slone. Gypsy is survived by four children, Eugene (Balinda) Coleman, Ike (Teresa) Coleman, Ann (Jimmy) Tackett, Lynn (Gordon) Fields, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Tuesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Terry Gibson officiating. Entombment will follow in the Annie E. Young Mausoleum.
