Harold Douglas Bowling, 84, of Elkhorn City, KY, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, Ky. Harold Douglas was born in Pike County, on August 27, 1934, to his parents the late Fon Bowling and Lois Hunt Bowling. Harold Douglas was of member of the Enterprise Old Regular Baptist Church, he worked for CSX Railroad. Harold Douglas served his country honorably in the Marine Corp. during the Korean War. Harold Douglas was the husband of Mary Lou Anderson Bowling. Harold Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Homer Morris Bowling.  Harold Douglas is survived by one son, Stephen Bowling (Gena) of Pikeville, KY, one daughter, Diana Lawill (Elgin) of Mt Sterling, KY, one brother, Howard Keith Bowling (Christa) of Davenport, FL, one sister, Burma Jo Sturgill  of Wolfpit, Ky.  Harold Douglas is survived by three grandchildren, Rachel LeAnn Hall (Jonathan), of Winchester, Ky, Zackery Austin Bowling, of Morehead, Ky,  Joshua Kyle Bowling, of Winchester, Ky; three Great Grandchildren, Chase Garrett Hall, Allyson Hope Hall, Alexis Grace Hall, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, January 10, 2019, 6:00 PM  at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Thursday and Friday night at 7 p.m. Funeral will be Saturday, January 12, 2019, 11:00 AM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery, Shelbiana, Ky.
