Herbert Clark Winstead Jr.

Herbert Clark Winstead Jr., age 53, passed away suddenly from this life  Sunday, July 7, 2024 at his home.  He was born on August 24, 1970 to his parents Loretta Jane Hopkins Winstead and the late Herbert Clark Winstead Sr., in Detroit, Michigan.  He was a talented carpenter.

    Along with his mother, Herbert is survived by one son, Zachary Adam (Shelby) Winstead, one daughter, Halley Morgan Winstead, and one step daughter, Katalin Leigh Stines, his sister, Cheri Maxine (Duane) Winstead Perry, niece, Kayla Lashae Sears, as well as several other loving aunts and cousins.

Herbert will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him.  His witty, inquisitive, forever competitive, and loving personality will always be remembered and cherished.  

Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  The funeral will be Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 12 Noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Josh Howell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery at Shelbiana.
