Homer Roberts

Homer Roberts, age 85, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022 at the Pikeville Medical Center. He was born on May 22, 1937 to his parents the late Dave Roberts and Bertha Hall Roberts. Homer was the husband of the late Florena Cole Roberts, a coal miner, and a member of the Long Fork Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with his wife and parents, Homer was preceded in death by one son, Homer Dale Roberts, seven brothers and three sisters. Homer is survived by three children, Fredrick (Connie) Roberts, Susie Roberts, C.D. (Debbie) Roberts, three brothers, Chester (Bonnie) Roberts, Thomas (Doris) Roberts, Jerry Dale Roberts, two sisters, Edith Johnson, Judy Younce, five grandchildren, Devin (Jerry) Little, Sabrina Roberts, Tiffany (Brandon) James, Telisha Ratliff, Christina (D.J.) Conn, nine great grandchildren, Layne, Chase, Sean, Trevor, Tinsley, Daylen, Addisyn, Aubree, Owen, Caden, Emery, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Saturday and Sunday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Monday, June 27, 2022 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Cole Family Cemetery at Sugar Camp Branch.
