James Herbert Adkins

James Herbert Adkins, age 51, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020 at the Pikeville Medical Center. James was born on September 17, 1968 to his parents Herbert Wayne Adkins and Marlene Coleman Adkins. He was the husband of Tammy Bartley Adkins, a cardiac technician for Corvitals Incorporated, and a Deacon and Recorder for Unity Freewill Baptist Church at Rockhouse. Along with his wife and parents, James is survived by two daughters, Amber Elizabeth (Patrick) Morgan, Amy Hensley, one brother, Matthew (Tina) Adkins, three grandchildren, Sammy Morgan, Vincent Morgan, Damian Lawrence, and a host of loving family and friends. There will be a private family visitation Tuesday from 4p.m. to 8p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. A private family funeral will be Wednesday April 2, 2020 at 1p.m. at the Unity Freewill Baptist Church. Due to the new covid 19 regulations, we will be live streaming the funeral on Lucas & Son Funeral Home facebook page.
