James John Kurkowski

     James John Kurkowski, age 80, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  James was born on June 11, 1944 to his parents the late John Kurkowski and Julie Kurkowski.  He was the husband of Mary Ann Fields Kurkowski, a retired emplolyee for the county in Wayne County, Michigan.  James was also a member of the Betsy Layne Freewill Baptist Church.

     Along with his parents, James was preceded in death by two sons, John Edward Kurkowski and Joseph Michael Kurkowski, and one sister, Irene Pike.

     Along with his wife, James is survived by three children, Frank Jason Kurkowski, James Anthony Kurkowski, Joyce Ann Sanford, one step son, Troy Lee Fields, fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends.

     Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  The funeral will be Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 11 A.M. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Tracy Patton officiating.
