Jessie Dixon West

Jessie Dixon West, age 83, of Pikeville, KY. passed away Monday, July 30, 2018, at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Jessie was born in Pike County, Kentucky on January 6, 1935, to her parents the late Charles Franklin Dixon and Frankie Ray Dixon Potter.  Jessie was a homemaker, and was of the Frozen Old Regular Baptist Church. Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, and her step-dad, Levi Potter; one daughter, Teresa Lynn Simpson; one brother, Robert Charles Dixon; two brothers in law, Jerry Stiltner and Elmer Vanover.Jessie is survived by her husband, Herman G. West.  Jessie is survived by one son, Herman G. West, Jr., one daughter, Patricia Blackburn (Eddie).  Jessie is survived by one brother, Jason Potter (Rheda); three sisters, Deloris Hampton (Vernon), Betty Stiltner, Elizabeth Vanover.She is survived by five grandchildren, Valerie Chapman, Jessica Stevens (Justin), Herman Gene West II (Jennifer), William Cody West, Eric Simpson, fourteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends.Visitation will be Wednesday, August 1, 2018, 6:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Services will be Wednesday and Thursday nights at 7:00 PM. Funeral will be Friday, August 3, 2018, 2:00 PM, with Johnny Smith, A.B. Thacker, Douglas Thompson  and other officiating.  Burial will follow at the Annie E. Young Cemetery,  Shelbiana, KY.
