Joe Lee Adkins

Joe Lee Adkins 77, of Pikeville, KY, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on March 2, 2019.  Joe was born on March 13, 1941 in Pikeville, KY. He is the son of the late John and Armina Hall Adkins.  Along with his parents Joe was preceded in death by one daughter, JoAnn Adkins; one sister, Lucille Hartsock; and two brothers, Billy Jean Adkins and Ballard Adkins. Joe was the owner and mechanic at Joe's Standard Service Station. He was a huge UK basketball fan as well as a member of the Pikeville Freewill Baptist Church. Joe is survived by his loving wife Barbara Stanley Adkins, one daughter, Angela House; one brother R.J. Adkins; and two grandchildren, Ross House, Ross's wife Brooklyn, Austin Adkins and Austin's wife Shena, and a host of loving friends who will miss him dearly.   Visitation for Joe will be Monday at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home at 5 p.m. with special services Monday night at 7 p.m.  Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jimmy Patton officiating.  The burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park at Pikeville, KY.
