John Ratliff

John Ratliff, age 67, of Shelbiana, Ky., passed away Monday, October 4, 2021 at Pikeville Medical Center. He was born on May 20, 1954 to his parents the late Harry and Opal Adkins Ratliff. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers; Vernon, Bob, Elmer, and Harlan Ray Ratliff, and one sister, Frieda Shirley. He is survived by his wife, Judy Lynn Ratliff, two sons, Dennis (Michelle) Ratliff, John Cody (Rachael) Ratliff, along with a special niece, Michelle (Robert) Sykes, and two special nephews, Michael (Carla) Ratliff, Pete (Danielle) Ratliff, two brothers, Harry Ratliff, Simon Ratliff, three sisters, Marie Boyd, Mary Shumate, and Joan Epling, three grandsons, Travis, Johnathan Dexter, and Brayden Ratliff, two granddaughters, Tori Ratliff, Addilynn Ratliff, along with a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Calvary Freewill Baptist Ministers. The burial will follow in the R.H. Ratliff Cemetery at Shelbiana, Ky.
