Johnny J. Marrs

Johnny J. Marrs, age 72 of Pikeville, Ky., passed away at his home on Friday, January 15, 2021. Johnny was born in Pike County, Ky. on March 23, 1948, to his parents the late Virgil Marrs and Elizabeth Mullins Marrs. He was the husband of Sherry Ratliff Marrs. Johnny was a retired conductor, with the CSX Railroad. Johnny was of the Freewill Baptist Faith, he served his country honorably in the Army, during the Vietnam War. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Demlena Gail Marrs. Johnny is survived by his wife, two daughters, Rachel Marrs, Andrea Cantrell, two sons, John Chris Marrs, Nathan Coleman. He is also survived by three sisters, Sandra Kaye Thacker, Wanda Sue Slone, Janie Stewart, ten grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. Memorial services visitation will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 11:00 AM with funeral services starting at 1:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home.
