Jonathan Douglas Compton

Jonathan Douglas Compton, age 61, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019 at his home.  Jonathan was born on May 23, 1957 to his parents the late John B. Compton and Ella Compton.  He was a splicer for AT&T Telephone Company, and a member of the CWA Communication Workers of America.      Along with his parents, Jonathan was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Robinson, and two brothers, James D. Compton and Johnny Compton.      Jonathan is survived by one daughter, Jondra (Creg) Johnson, one son, Douglas (Dawn) Compton, four sisters, Anna Moore, Margaret (Blake) Kiser, Elizabeth Compton, Susie (Chester) Johnson, five brothers, Roger (Nona) Compton, Larry (Terri) Compton, Bryon (Rebecca) Compton, Steve Compton, Eddie (Karen) Compton, Tommy (Kathy) Compton, two grandchildren, Emma Johnson, Ella Johnson, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.     Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  The funeral will be Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Calhoun Cemetery at Robinson Creek.
