Larry Dale Pinson

    Larry Dale Pinson, "Pepsi"  age 82, of Raccoon, Ky., passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025.  Larry was born on Sept. 17, 1942 to his parents the late Robert Lincoln Pinson and Caroline Hall Pinson.  He was a retired operator and chief clerk for CSX Railroad Company for over 35 years and he also served his country honorably in the United States Army during Vietnam War.  Larry graduated from Johns Creek High School in 1961 and was on a bowling league for over 25 years.

    Along with his parents, Larry was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Pinson, Sylvia Kopay, and three brothers, Rockman Pinson, Lloyd Pinson, and Hartman Pinson.

     Larry is survived by five special nieces:  Bonetta (Robert) Edwards, Renee (Joe) Huizar, Anita, Deborah, and Robin, and nephews:  Greg Kopay, Hartman Pinson Jr., Steve Pinson, Woody Pinson, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, family and friends who will miss him dearly.

     Visitation will be Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 11 A.M. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  The funeral will begin at 1p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 with Neil Coleman officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bent Ridge Cemetery at Meta.

   In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christian Fellowship Church (1698 Powells Creek Road Pikeville, Ky 41501)
