Laura Janene McCoy

Laura Janene "Punchie" McCoy, age 86, passed away Monday, April 22, 2019 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Janene was born on Dec. 16, 1932 to her parents the late Hollie Compton and Cleo Sowards Compton.  She was the wife of the late Paul Ronald McCoy, a book keeper for Pikeville National Bank, and a member of the Eastern Star.      Janene is survived by one son, Paul Ronald (Becky) McCoy II, two daughters, Bridgett (John) McCoy Nicholson, Holly (Jerry) McCoy Johnson, one sister, Anita "Skeeter" Devine, her beloved dog, Molly, three grandchildren, Jessica McCoy Sargent, Katie Wiard, Samantha McCoy Gardner, one great grandchild, Harrison Blake Sargent, and a host of loving family and friends.      Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home   The funeral will be Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 11a.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
