Lizzie Marie Compton

Lizzie Marie Compton, age 89, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the Pikeville Nursing Home and Rehab.  She was born on April 29, 1929 to her parents the late Rush Brewer and Mae Keathley Brewer.  She was the wife of Robert Compton, a former employee of Mercury Manufacturing Co, and a member of the Island Creek Holiness Church in Jesus Name.        Along with her parents, Lizzie was preceded in death by one son, Robert Michael Compton, and several brothers and sisters.     Along with her husband, Lizzie is survived by one daughter, Audry (Bill) Vogel, three sisters, Eunice Ann Forsyth, Fannie Smith, Bonnie Freeh, six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and a host of loving family and friends.      Visitation will be Monday at Lucas & Son Funeral Home from 6p.m. to 9p.m. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Chester Varney officiating.  Burial will follow in the Peggy Hill Cemetery at Island Creek.
