Lois Smith Blackburn, age 76, passed away Friday, Feb. 26, 2021 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Lois was born on May 18, 1944 to her parents the late Prince Smith and Hattie Marcum Smith. She was the wife of the late Joe W. Blackburn, a homemaker, and a member of the Brushy Creek Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Lois was preceded in death by one brother, Aubrey Smith. Lois is survived by one son, Billy Joe Blackburn, two daughters, Pamala Jonell Blackburn, Shirlena (Joey) Compton, two brothers, Woody (Jean) Smith, Winston (Meriam) Smith, two sisters, Joyce (Morris) Smith, Janet (Hayes) Robinson, five grandchildren, Keshia Mullins, Austin Blackburn, Nick Robinson, Peyton Compton, Caleb Compton, six great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home Special singing will be Sunday at 7p.m. Church services will be Monday at 7p.m. with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. The funeral will be Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 1p.m. at the Lucas &Son Funeral Home with John George Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Bent Ridge Cemetery at Meta, Ky.
