Loretta Childers Connors

Loretta E. Childers Connors, age 84, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at the Ephram McDowell Regional Hospital. Loretta was born on July 22, 1938 to her parents the late John Hawkins and Bessie Layne Hawkins. Loretta was the wife of the late Johnny Connors, a homemaker, and a member of Beulah First Church of God. Along with her husband and parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence Childers, one son, Eddie Childers, ten brothers, and two sisters. Loretta is survived by one son, Richard Keith Childers, one daughter, Sheryl (Jess) Harmon, two grandchildren, Stacy (Greg) Compton, David (Laura) Harmon, two great grandchildren, Jay Compton, Lynnsey Compton, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Sunday, January 15, 2023 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Randy Damron officiating. Burial will follow in the Rob Ratliff Cemetery at Elkhorn Creek.
