Loretta Clevinger Sword, age 75, passed away Sunday, Nov. 29, 2020 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Ky. Loretta was born on November 21, 1945 to her parents the late Harvey Clevinger Jr. and Gracie Young Clevinger. She was a member of the Blessed Hope Freewill Baptist Church where she gave her heart to the Lord. She always loved being around her family and enjoyed cooking big holiday meals. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, and sister in law. She worked 28 years as the Deli Manager for Piggly Wiggly before she retired, so she could raise, care for and support her family. The one thing she always looked forward to was vacations on the beach at summertime, her brother, Ronnie, always accomodated her by making sure she had a safe place to fish and he always accompanied her for that. She never saw a person she couldn't speak to and she will be greatly missed. Along with her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by one daughter. Teresa Sword Abbee, and two brothers, Ronnie and Ernest (Fish) Clevinger. Loretta is survived by one daughter, Delores (Marvin) Bailey of Salyersville, Ky., four grandchildren, Chris (Kitty) Bailey, Angela (Chad) Marshall all of Salyersville, Ky., Savanna and Jonce Sword of Harold, Ky., six great grandchildren, Roselina Sword, Dylan Marshall, Grayson Bailey, Skylett Estep, Israel Estep, Jozlyn Smith, a very special sister in law, Debbie Clevinger, niece, Amy Clevinger, nephew, Scott (Alix) Clevinger, great nephew, Easton Clevinger, and soon to be great niece, Kyler Ronnie Clevinger, three step grandchildren, Misty, Shannon, and Teagan Isaacs of Mt. Sterling, Ky., and a host of loving family and friends. There will be a private family funeral.
