Lorraine Lawhorn

    Lorraine Lawhorn, age 91, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024 at her home of Millard Highway of Pikeville.  She was born on Feb. 19, 1932 to her parents the late Burbon Thacker and Mercy Adkins Thacker.  She was the wife of the late George Lawhorn, a babysitter for family and friends over the years, and she also belonged to faith first baptist church in Regina, KY.

     Along with her husband and parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by four sisters:  Betty, Carrie, Martha, and Mary, and four brothers:  Nathaniel, Haze, Lunner, and Burbon Jr.

    Lorraine is survived by one brother, Karfa Thacker, and a host of loving family and friends who will miss her dearly.

     Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home.  Church services will be Friday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Saturday, January 13, 2023 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Randy Bentley officiating.  Burial will follow in Sanders Cemetery at Sycamore, Ky.
