Lucky Adkins

    James Howard "Lucky" Adkins, age 80, passed away Sunday, Feb. 9, 2025 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Lucky was born on July 6, 1944 to his parents the late Eli Adkins and Anna Rae Adkins Sexton.  He was the husband of the late Angie Adkins, a retired truck driver, and a member of the Valley Grace Freewill Baptist Church.   

     Along with his wife and parents, Lucky was preceded in death by one brother, John Henry Adkins.

     Lucky is survived by one brother, Billy Roberts, two nieces:  Cyndi (Mike) Burlett) and Tammi Roberts, and a host of loving family and friends.

     Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Valley Grace Freewill Baptist Church.  Church services will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025 at 12 Noon at the Valley Grace Freewill Baptist Church with Randy May officiating.  Burial will follow in the R.H. Ratliff Cemetery at Shelbiana.
