Luther Jarvis

Luther Jarvis, age 88, passed away Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Luther was born on Nov. 13, 1930 to his parents the late Ed Jarvis and Nellie Endicott Jarvis.  He was the husband of Loraine Branham Jarvis, a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, and a retired coal miner for Canada Coal Company.  He also worked for many years as a mechanic for Larry Keene.      Along with his wife, Luther is survived by two daughters, Mary Jarvis, Susan (Jim) Moore, one grandson, Aaron (Emily) Ross, two great grandchildren, Avery and Alice, and a host of loving family and friends.     Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. to 8p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  The funeral will be Friday Sept. 13, 2019 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Larry Keene officiating.  Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Garden at Ivel.
