Margie Johnson

    Margie Ellen Johnson, age 58, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019 at the Pikeville Medical Center.   Margie was born on Sept. 14, 1961 to her parents the late Corbet Newsome and Willis Ray Bowling Newsome.  Margie was a Ky. Colonel, secretary for Judge Eddie Coleman, retired from the Unemployment office, and a believer of the freewill Baptist Faith.      Along with her parents, Margie was preceded in death by one sister, Anna Lou Newsome, and one brother, Danny Newsome.      Margie is survived by one daughter, Olivia Paige Johnson, one son, Lincoln Payne Johnson, four brothers, Donnie Newsome, Ronnie Newsome, Randy Newsome, Corbet Dwayne (Malinda) Newsome, three sisters, Virginia Sue (Richard) Addington, Karen Damron, Darlene (Ricky) Potter, and a host of loving family and friends.      Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Church services will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Thursday October 17, 2019 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Brian Hundley, Morgan Chapman, Hillard Newsome, and others officiating.  Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.   In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Caney Creek Freewill Baptist Church.
