Martha Slone

Martha Chaney Slone, age 80, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Martha was born on March 11, 1939 to her parents the late Jesse Chaney and Zetta (Kate) Thacker Chaney.  She was the wife of the late Ramson Slone, a homemaker, and a believer of the Old Regular Baptist Faith.     Along with her husband and parents, Martha was preceded in death by two brothers, Kermit Chaney, Ervin Chaney, and two sisters, Nancy Slone, and Erma Jean Chaney.      Martha is survived by three sons, Billy Slone, Jesse (Arlene) Slone, Donnie (Dedra) Slone, two sisters, Ersie Slone, Belle Chaney, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends.      Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Church services will be Wednesday and Thursday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Friday, May 10, 2019 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating.  Burial will follow in the Chaney Cemetery at Biggs Branch.
