Marvin Douglas Bartley

Marvin Douglas Bartley, age 77, of Elkhorn City, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at the Pikeville Medical Center. Marvin was born in Pike County, Ky. on September 1, 1943, to his parents the late Elmer Bartley and Alta Jane Mullins Bartley. Marvin was a member of the Sweet Home Regular Baptist Church on Elkhorn Creek, Ky. He was a retired coal miner. Marvin was the husband of the late Wanda "Sudy" Bartley. Marvin served his Country Honorably in the United States Army. Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one brother, Dickie Raven Bartley. Marvin is survived by one son, Brandon Bartley (Kasey), two daughters, Rhonda Potter, Danita Thompson (Mark). He is survived by two brothers, Sandy Bartley (Wray Lynn), Gurney Bartley (Shirley Ann), two sisters, Grethel J. Bartley Turner (Ernest), Linda Looney, six grandchildren, Mitchell Potter, Maddie (Sam) Duff, Laikin Thompson, Jax Thompson, Gage Thompson, Cameron Bartley, one great grandchild, Kylen Tackett, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 15, 2021, 6:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 16, 2021, 1:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery, Shelbiana, KY,
