Mary Frona Justice

Mary Frona Justice, age 89, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023 at the Cedar Creek Assisted Living in Pikeville. Mary was born on December 12, 1933 to her parents the late Johnnie L. Nichols and Trixie Blackburn Nichols. She was the wife of the late Phillip A. Justice, a retired school teacher from the Pike County Board of Education, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Pikeville. Along with her husband and parents, Mary Frona was preceded in death by two brothers, John Earl Nichols and Billy Joe Nichols, and one sister, Mintie Mamain Blackburn. Mary Frona is survived by one daughter, Diana Lynn (Jackie) Robinson, one son, Andrew (Phoebe) Justice, one brother, Wilburn (Brenda) Nichols of Columbus, Ohio, five grandchildren, Kristin Renee' (DeWayne Diehl) Compton, Nicholas Brant (Megan) Compton, Sarah Elizabeth Justice, Andrew Dakota (Madisyn) Justice, Phillip Hunter Justice, two great grandchildren, Claire Addison Compton and Emilia Louise Compton, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023 at 11 A.M. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Morgan Chapman and Sam Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery at Shelbiana. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the East Ky Dream Center in Pikeville, Ky.
