Maxine Lyons

Maxine Thacker Lyons, age 90, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at the Pikeville Medical Center. Maxine was born on April 16, 1932 to her parents the late Wright Justice and Nellie Thacker Justice. She was the wife of the late Carl Lyons, a homemaker, and a believer of the Pentecostal Faith. Along with her husband and parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Thacker Jr., one daughter, Peggy Lynn Thacker, three brothers, Willie Justice, Alex Justice, Jim Justice, and three sisters, Nell Ruth Ratliff, Rose Marie Montgomery, Mona Sloan. Maxine is survived by three children, Ruth Ann (Paul) Smith, Jerry (Khristina) Thacker, Rosemary (Terry) Matney, one brother, Tommy Justice, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday and Saturday at 6pm. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Sunday, January 1, 2023 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Arnold Thornsbury and Greg Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Garden at Ivel, Ky.
