Michael "Hoppy" Hopkins

Michael "Hoppy" Hopkins, age 70, of Virgie, KY  passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at the Pikeville Nursing and Rehab Center following a short illness.

   Michael was born on April 17, 1954 to the late Elder Frank Hopkins and Rosie Hopkins.  In addition to his parents, he was also proceeded in death by an older brother Richard Dale Hopkins. 

Michael was retired from Brandies Machinery where he worked for 38 years.

He is survived by his daughter Tiffany Marie Jones and her husband Bradley of Louisville as well as two grandchildren, Ashley and Henry also of Louisville.

He is also survived by his brother, Stevie and his wife, Jennifer of Virgie, Ky., and a host of loving family and friends.

    Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Church services will be Saturday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Sunday July 7, 2024 at 11 A.M. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Mike Justice and Ted Honaker officiating.  Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
