Jerimikea "Mike" Kendrick age 65, passed away peacefully Thursday December 7, 2023 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Mike was born on August 20, 1958 to his parents the late Audrey Kendrick and Anna Mae Bevins Kendrick. Along with his parents, Mike was preceded in death by one brother, Audrey Lariat Kendrick. Mike is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Sue (Dean) Coleman, one nephew, Carl Dean (Kim) Coleman, several nieces, Bethanie (Tim) Belcher, Amy (Keith) Douglas, Sierra (Josh) Stanley, Shandra (James) Thacker, two aunts Lois (Lonnie) Osborne, and Mary Sue Bevins, one uncle, Floyd Kendrick. Mike was the owner of Bevins Body shop where he loved working on cars. His interest in cars began at an early age when he would help his grandfather, Everett Bevins work in his garage. He loved all things Nascar and his favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt. Mike also had a passion for anything related to John Wayne as he collected memorabilia from the movie star and watched John Wayne movies often. Mike will be deeply missed by all who knew him. We are comforted knowing that he is now resting peacefully with our heavenly father. Services to honor Mike's life will be held on December 9th, 2023 at 1 P.M. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Billy Compton officiating. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Friday at 7 p.m. Burial will follow in the Billiter Family Cemetery at Chloe Creek, Ky. Serving as pallbearers are his nephew, Carl Dean Coleman, Jackson Belcher, cousins, P.J. Bevins and Tommy Osborne, close family and friends, Travis Holloway, Ronnie Robertson, and Tim May.
