Mildred Louise Dove

  Mildred Louise Dove, age 81, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Louise was born on Nov. 24, 1942 to her parents the late Willie Smith and Sylvia Collett Smith.  She was the wife of the late Clayton Kenn Dove, a homemaker, and avid sewer and good at needlepoint.  Louise was of the Apostolic Faith and a member of the Victory Temple Holiness Church in Jesus Name.  

    Along with her husband and parents, Louise was preceded in death by two brothers, Delno Smith and Leon Smith, and four sisters, Edna Ferguson, Ada Bishop, Ann Price, and Helen Privett.

     Louise is survived by one son, Jimmy Carl (Kimberly) Dove, two daughters, Barbara Dove, Lisa (Barry) Wolford, two sisters, Willie Smith, Margie Silvey, four grandchildren, Justin Dove, Brandon Smith, Jordan Smith, Taylor Wolford, seven great grandchildren, Arabella, Denverly, Kloie, Braden, Kaylee Grace, Kaleb, Alayna, and a host of loving family and friends.

    Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Church services will be Friday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 2p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Richard D. McKinney and Clinard Ratliff officiating.  Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Garden  at Ivel.
