Monica Jackson

Monica Charles Jackson, age 86, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021 at her home. Monica was born on December 16, 1934 to her parents the late Tootsie Maynard Charles and Claude Charles. She was the wife of the late George Jackson Jr., a retired regional manager for Southern Belle Phone Company of Florida, and a member of the Church of God in Chattaroy, WV. Along with her husband and parents, Monica was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Trent. Monica is survived by one daughter, Brenda Jackson Morris (Allen), one son, Allen Jackson, her daughter in law, Priscilla Taylor, two special nephews, Jason Jackson, Chad McClanahan, three special nieces, Kendra Trent, Missy McCombs, Brandi McClanahan, one grandson, Matthew Kirkwood, one great grandchild, Mason Kirkwood, three sisters, Claudette Charles, Bonnetta McClanahan, Lucille Charles, three brothers, Sam Charles, Danny Charles, and Stanley Charles, and a host of loving family and friends. Our family wishes to express our heartfelt appreciation to Chelsea Hamilton and the entire staff at Cedar Creek Assisted Living of Pikeville, for their compassionate care and kindness to our mother and our family. All of you are truly appreciated. There will be a private family funeral. In lieu of flowers send donations to Cedar Creek Assisted Living in Pikeville, Ky.
