Morlyn Wilburn

     Morlyn Wilburn, age 77, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Morlyn was born on Dec. 11, 1946 to his parents the late Finley Wilburn and Ella Gray Damron Wilburn.  He was the husband of the late Essie Mae Blackburn Wilburn, retired driver for Shurtleff's Laundry, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
     Along with his wife and parents, Morlyn was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Wilburn.
     Morlyn is survived by one son, Eric Morlyn Wilburn, one daughter, Ella (William) Miller, one brother, Wesley Wilburn, two grandchildren, Linda Elizabeth Miller, Ava Marie Miller, and a host of loving family and friends.
     Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  The funeral will be Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 12 Noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Brother Rich Roberts officiating.  Burial will follow in the Adams Blackburn Cemetery at Spring Branch Road.
