Nannie Rae Bentley

Nannie Rae Bentley, age 82 of Pikeville, Ky, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at her residence. Nannie was born in Pike County, Ky  on June 10, 1937, to her parents the late Ezra Compton and Sarah Compton.  Nannie was a retired housekeeper for the Pikeville Medical Center and a member of the Little Creek Old Regular Baptist Church.  Nannie was the widow of Kernie Bentley. Nannie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, several brothers and one sister. Nannie is survived by one son, Ricky (Teresa) Bentley, one daughter, Sandie Gooslin. Survived by one brother, Bobby Joe (Polly) Compton, three grandchildren, Brandon Welsh, Wesley Bentley, Alyse Gooslin, two great grandchildren, Ashlynn Welsh, Andrew Welsh and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be Monday, November 11, 2019, 6:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home.  Church service both Monday and Tuesday nights at 7:00 PM.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at 11:00 AM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating.  Burial will follow in the Compton Family Cemetery on Little Creek.
