Necie Tibbs

Necie Tibbs age 87, passed away on Saturday,December 31, 2022 at her home. Necie was born on April 30, 1935 to her parents the late Emzy Bee Pinson and Margie Robinette Pinson. She was the wife of the late Arvid Tibbs. Necie was a retired school bus driver and custodian for Pike County Board of Education, and a member of the Grassy Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Necie was preceded in death by one grandson, Colby Tibbs, one sister, Oma Charles, and one brother, Glenville Pinson. Necie is survived by three children, Lester Tibbs, Betty Ann Tibbs, Denver Tibbs, nine grandchildren, Roger Tibbs, David Tibbs, Jessica Lee (Joe), Paul Blankenship, Arthur Blankenship, Amos Blankenship, Clyde (Sheree) Coleman, Kelly Coleman, Katie Coleman, five great grandchildren, Khloie ,Kennedy, Emily, Brooks, and Hank, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6pm at the Grassy Freewill Baptist Church. Church services will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 7pm. The funeral will be Thursday, at 12 Noon at the Grassy Freewill Baptist Church with Lester Morris, Ronnie Webb, Larry Goff, and Lester Tibbs officiating. Burial will follow in the R.H. Ratliff Cemetery at Shelbiana.
