Nelson Damron

Nelson Damron, age 73, passed away Friday, Sept. 28, 2018 at his residence.  He was born on March 2, 1945 to his parents the late Glen Damron and Clearcy (Jane) Damron.  He was the husband of the late Brenda Damron, a coal miner, and was the former Pastor at Faith First Baptist Church.    Along with his wife and parents, Nelson was preceded in death by one daughter, Sheila Damron, two brothers, Jessie Lee Damron, Glen Dale Damron, and one sister, Geraldine Damron.     Nelson is survived by one daughter, Nicole Damron, three sons, Randall (Annetta) Damron, Mark (Robbie) Damron, David John (Sherrie) Damron, five brothers, Johnny (Pam) Damron, Clyde Damron, Frank (Sharon) Damron,  Joey Moses (Robbie) Damron, Joseph (Lisa) Damron,  seven sisters, Linda Hall, Jean Rose, Mary Riley, Brenda Stewart, Martha Pinson, Irene (Tim) Birchfield, Sharon Kay (Paul) Newsome, eight grandchildren, Constance LaShae Damron, Nathan Randall (Kala), Marcus Braeden Damron, Jillian Akers, Heather Lyndsey Sapp, Glenn Asher Gibson, Sidney Nicholas Gibson, Thomas Owen Gibson, and a host of loving family and friends.    Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Church services will be Saturday and Sunday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Monday, October 1, 2018 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home  with Jimmy Dale Sanders officiating.
