Noah Rexford Phillips

Noah Rexford Phillips 81 of Brushy Road, Varney, Kentucky passed away Monday January 1, 2024 at the Pikeville Medical Center.

He was born February 19, 1942 to the late Noah and Viola Compton Phillips.  Noah was a self- employed carpenter.  He was preceded in death by his wife Justine Maynard Phillips, his parents Noah and Viola Compton Phillips, his previous wife, Judith Holbrook Phillips,  two brothers: Tommy and Johnny Phillips, One sister, Phyllis Bolden, and one son, Rexford "Baldy" Phillps.

He is survived by two sons: Joe and Jesse Phillips, one daughter, Sheila Phillips, four step-sons, Bryan (Nellrena) Maynard, Barry (Angela) Maynard,  Bill (Missy) Jones, Wayne Ellis Jones, Five sisters: Bonnie Clear, Rosie (Roger) Bowens, Ivagene (Mack) Bolden, Yvonne Kinney,  Barbara Sue Damron and a host of loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 3, at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Thursday at 12 Noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home chapel.  The burial will follow in the Phillips Cemetery Island Creek Road.
