Oley (Millis) Damron, age 77, passed away Monday, April 25, 2022 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Oley was born on January 9, 1945 to his parents the late Claudie Damron and Spicey Little Damron. He was the husband of the late Louanna Newsome Damron, a retired coal miner, and a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with his wife and parents, Oley was preceded in death by two brothers, Jackson Damron, Charles Bradley Damron, one sister, Silvia Little. Oley is survived by one son, Gregory (Pauline) Damron, his step son, Bradley Blake (Vicki) Hopkins, two brothers, Jay Damron, Dempsey (Vicky) Damron, two sisters, Carol Ramey, Susie Blackburn, two grandchildren, Joshua Tyler Damron, Sharon Gibson, one great grandchild, Jondra Blake McClanahan, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Wednesday and Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday at 11 A.M. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Newsome Branch Cemetery at Penny Road.
