Olive Childers

Elkhorn City, Kentucky

Olive May Childers, age 90, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2024 at her home.  Olive was born on June 29, 1934 to her parents the late Aaron May and Mary Adkins May.  She was the wife of the late Bob Childers, self employed Olive Gifts and Draperies, and a member of the Marrowbone Missionary Baptist Church.

     Along with her husband and parents, Olive was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Wayne Childers, Bobby Dwyne Childers, one grandson, Nicholas Childers, one brother, Aaron Jr. May, and three sisters, Stella Campbell, Della Hamilton, Nell Coljohn.

      Olive is survived by two daughter in laws, Rita Childers, Susie (Prentis Adkins) Childers, special friend and caretaker, Tina Kranzman, two sisters, Ann Rose, Joyce Dankie, two grandchildren, Amy (Warren Bonea) Childers, Anthony Childers, six great grandchildren, Gwen, Tommy, Casen, Kalep (Izzy) Jakob, Jackson ,one great great granddaughter, Addie, and a host of loving family and friends.

     A memorial service will be Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 3P.M. at the Marrowbone Missionary Baptist Church with Michael Richey officiating.
