Phillip Charles Keathley, age 75, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Phillip was born on March 22, 1946 to his parents the late Walter Keathley and Oma Adkins Keathley. He was a retired coal miner. Phillip was an evangelist and a member of the Joe's Creek Church of Christ. Along with his parents, Phillip was preceded in death by five brothers, Troy, Bufford, James Elzie, Elmer, and Palmer, and four sisters, Gracie, Patricia, Ivalee, and Virginia. Phillip is survived by five children, Janet (Tim) Keathley, Charles Keathley, Valerie (David) Rorrer, Melissa Hamilton, Phillip R. (Angi) Keathley, the mother of his children; Lucrissie (Herman) Jones, one brother, Hobert Keathley, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 5p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Saturday at 6p.m. and Sunday at 7:30p.m. The funeral will be Monday, May 31, 2021 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Dan Fraley, Randall Parsons, and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Keathley Family Cemetery at Branhams Creek.
