Phyllis Jean Syck

Phyllis Jean Syck, age 76, passed away Friday, June 9, 2023 at the Pikeville Medical Center. She was born on February 18, 1947 to her parents the late Benjamin Paul David Hall and Mazie Caudill Hall. She was the wife of Donnie R. Syck, a homemaker, and a member of the Sookey's Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by one son in law, Shane Thacker. Along with her husband, Phyllis is survived by two sons, Timothy Damron, Germi D. Damron, two daughters, Nina Faith (Clinton) Long, Cathy Hope Thacker, four grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Saturday and Sunday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Monday, June 12, 2023 at 11 A.M. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Terry Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the Syck Family Cemetery at Poor Bottom.
