Rabon Reed

Rabon Reed age 82, of Kimper, Ky., passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at the Highlands ARH Hospital, Prestonsburg, Ky. Rabon was born in Pike County, Ky. on November 12, 1938, to his parents the late Lester Reed and Louise Reed. Rabon was a retired coalminer and was of the Baptist Faith. Rabon served his Country Honorary in the United States Navy. Rabon was a member of the Thomas C. Cecil Masonic Lodge #375 in Pikeville. He was the husband of Joann Reed. Rabon was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Anna Jane Reed, a son Russell "Rusty" Reed, a granddaughter Jennifer Chapman. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Pamela Reed Graviss, Teressa Reed Whisman. Survived by seven grandchildren, Jonathan Charles, Rebekah Howard, Dakota Sutton, Russell "Alex" Reed, James Michael Ratliff, Kevin Ryan Ratliff, Heather Kristina Ratliff, six great grandchildren, Jacob Chapman, Hannah Chapman, Lilly Charles, Aubrey Howard, Ava Howard, Amyrah Sutton and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 29, 2021, 6:00 PM and Wednesday night June 30, 2021, with Masonic Rites at 7:00 PM on Wednesday at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 1:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with A.B. Thacker, Jerry Overstreet, Sam Crawford and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park, Pikeville, ky.
