Richard Lee Lowe

Richard Lee Lowe, age 86, of Raccoon, Ky. passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at his residence. Richard Lee was born in Mingo County, West Virginia, on May 3, 1933, to his parents the late James Bailey Lowe and Victoria McGuire Lowe. Richard was retired from CSX, he was a general mechanical foreman for 36 years. Richard was a member of the Railroad Union Committee. Richard was a member of the Good Ole Boys Car Club and a member of the Meta Baptist Church. Richard Lee served his Country Honorably in the United State Army and was in the Korean War. Richard Lee was the husband of Loraine Walters Lowe, they were married for 64 years. Richard Lee was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter-Angie Coleman, one grandson-Jason Lee Dorton, one brother-Jimmy Lowe. Richard Lee is survived by his wife, Loraine, two daughters- Judy Dorton (Eddie), Suzanne Lowe, one brother-Ronald Gene Aders of Richmond, Va. a son-in-law- Jeff Coleman. Richard is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday, March 16, 2020, 6:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 17, 2020, 11:00 AM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Bill Staggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery at Hatfield, Ky.
