Richard Lynn Raines

Richard Lynn Raines, age 68, of Elkhorn City, Ky. passed away on Friday, April 5, 2019, at the Pikeville Medical Center. Richard was born in Pike County, Kentucky on June 2, 1950 to his parents the late Richard Brown and Mildred Burnhimer.  Richard was a disabled coal miner and was a member of the Community Alliance Church at Yellow Hill. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jerry Raines, his grandparents Shug Rowe and Pluma Rowe.  Richard is survived by one son, Shawn Raines (Crystal), one daughter, Kristin Raines, three grandchildren Alexus, Chloe, Sophie Raines and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, 6:00 PM, April 7, 2019, at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral will be Monday, April 8, 2019, at 12:00 Noon at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Randy Bentley officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery at Shelbiana.
